BGTC is looking for Coaches!
As a BGTC Coach, you play a key role in advancing the organization’s mission to empower Black girls and women through tennis. Coaches are responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of BGTC tennis clinics, practices, and community activations for youth and adult participants.
This role emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment while supporting skill development, teamwork, confidence, and a lifelong connection to the sport of tennis.
Core Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of tennis clinics, practices, and activations for girls and women.
Deliver age- and skill-appropriate instruction focused on fundamentals, fitness, and player development.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where participants feel seen and supported.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence on and off the court.
Collaborate with Program Assistants, Coordinators, and Regional Leads to ensure smooth program execution.
Adhere to all BGTC safety, conduct, and child-protection policies.
Requirements
Background check required.
Completion of USTA SafePlay training.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Prior experience playing and/or coaching tennis preferred.
Locations hiring: Hampton Roads, VA, NYC and DC.
